Alexandria’s annual Techne Summit is returning to Egypt’s third largest city on Saturday 2nd of October with a three-day hybrid conference. Bringing together over 600 startups, 180 investment enterprises and 300 speakers, the event is expected to host more than 15,000 attendees from 70 different countries, all of whom share an interest in the multiple tech startup communities of the Mediterranean Region.

As a hybrid event, attendees and speakers can attend face-to-face gatherings or remotely through the Techne Summit App. Here, they can have access to the app’s AI-powered matchmaking tool to schedule on and offline meetings with other attendees. Meanwhile, a total of 11 tech startup entrepreneurship tracks to explore will be on offer at the summit, including in industries such as finance, health, marketing and media, e-commerce, gaming, architecture and design, cinema, sports and sustainability. Additional tracks include an Investors Bootcamp and a Startup Business Academy.

With a wealth of speakers across a variety of tracks, guests can expect diverse talks from the likes of Egypt’s Minister of Communications and Information Technology, H.E. Amr Talaat; Director and Content Creator, Hesham Afifi; Managing Directors of Paymob and Talabat, Emily Renny and Hadeer Shalaby respectively and Head of Strategic Partnership for TikTok Middle East, Cherine Magora. Not-to-miss talks include titles such as ‘The many Types of VC Funds and Where LPs are Investing in 2022’, a discussion led by Chief Operating Officer of 500 Startups, Courtney Powell, designed to help attendees deepen their knowledge on the increasingly sophisticated investment space of Seed, Early, Late and Bridge Stage Funding. Elsewhere, a panel discussion on ‘How Post-Covid Consumer Behaviour is Shaping E-Commerce’ promises a data-led, multi-speaker discussion on the evolving e-commerce industry.
