Etisalat and Microsoft Join Khalifa Fund With e-Empower Programme
Etisalat and Microsoft will give entrepreneurs access to a ‘digital academy’ to empower Abu Dhabi SMEs entrepreneurs to build on their digital capacity and elevate their online business models.
Etisalat and Microsoft have joined with the Khalifa Fund for Enterprise Development through their e-Empower programme, which aims to provide Emirate’s entrepreneurial environment with resources to enable innovation in the region.
In order to empower Abu Dhabi SMEs entrepreneurs to build on their digital capacity and elevate their online business models, Etisalat and Microsoft will give entrepreneurs access to a ‘digital academy’ which features a wide range of videos, webinars, and talk shows.
Etisalat will also give registered e-Empower SMEs access to the ‘Hello Business Hub’ platform. Etisalat’s Hub will essentially offer entrepreneurs with exclusive trade license offers to solidify their presence in Abu Dhabi and give entrepreneurs the opportunity to open zero-balance business accounts with their partner RAKBANK.
In turn, Microsoft will host digital webinars which are customised to these startups’ needs, such as with bi-weekly awareness services, advisory sessions and online training, in addition to preferential rates for Microsoft 0365 and digital support for sellers.
The Khalifa Fund’s e-Empower initiative already has 1,200 applicants with online marketplaces, which can be found on platforms like Amazon, noon.ae and Askhaak.
