Jordan’s Jawaker Acquired by Global Gaming Firm Stillfront for $205M
The Jordanian mobile gaming specialist is one of the most prolific in the region and the deal opens a pathway for Sweden-based Stillfront to expands its presence in MENA.
Jordan-based online card game studio and app, Jawaker, has announced that it has been acquired by global gaming studio, Stillfront Group, in a $205 million deal.
Founded in 2009 by Mohamad Hasan and Yousef Shamoun, Jawaker specialises in mobile gaming, fusing on board and card games, as well as other games specific to the MENA region. Over the past few years, Jawaker has enjoyed the boom in MENA gaming, a regional reseller network creating a strong competitive advantage and entry barrier for the company
For Sweden-headquartered Stillfront Group, a specialist in the acquisition and management of mobile and browser game studios, the deal will help it cement its own presence in the MENA region, and expand its game portfolio.
