The coffee-centric startup will use the investment to expand and offer its services worldwide.
Cofe App, a Kuwait-based online marketplace for coffee enthusiasts has raised a seven-figure Series A funding. The exact amount of the investment and participating entities were not specifically disclosed but the company is known to have reached a valuation of $25 million. Being backed by a variety of international and regional strategic investors, the startup will use the funds gained from this investment to support its mission to expand all over the globe and offer its services worldwide.
Founded by Ali Al-Ebrahim, Cofe provides a mobile application that brings coffee shops of all sorts, including international franchises as well as artisanal shops onto one intelligent platform. The application also enables featured shops to expand their business offerings and services by taking their products online and provide comfort and efficiency to its users.
And that's just the least, as the platform offers all-you-can-need services to coffee enthusiasts in the region including order customisation options, delivery to offices and homes as well as store pick-up and car delivery for those on-the-go. Cofe also enables a connection between customers and vendors that offer catering services and private banquets with on-site kiosk and barista options. Lastly, the platform boasts an impressive rewards programme that encourages coffee-holics to collect points and redeem them with prizes.
The application is currently available both in Arabic and English and allows for a variety of payment options including cash-on-delivery (COD), debit cards and credit top-up on your Cofe App account.
