Misk Academy Launches Third Round of Its Joint Programme with Udacity
The programme focuses on key industry topics such as digital marketing, web development and programming, artificial intelligence (AI) and data.
The Misk Academy in collaboration with Udacity launches the third round of the Misk Udacity Programme. The programme, which is also an initiative by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, aims to train the young Saudi minds, polish their skills and fuel them with the must-know information of the digital world.
"Since its inception in March 2018, the academy has worked towards supporting the Saudi youth, helping them achieve a better future, and consequently contributing to the Kingdom’s Vision 2030 objectives," says Omar Al-Najjar, CEO of Misk Academy about the academy's progress.
The programme emphasises on important topics in the industry such as digital marketing, web development and programming, artificial intelligence (AI) and data. The programme’s main goal is to have Saudi youth well-educated and fully equipped to handle the technical knowledge required when job-hunting, hence further increasing the employability of Saudi citizens in tech-based and data driven fields.
Apart from enrolling in online courses, Riyadh and Mecca based students will also be able to attend weekly training sessions by their trainers, with additional seminars to be held in other cities throughout the Kingdom in an effort to educate the participants.
Previously, the first phase of the programme trained around 2,000 and offered over 2,500 scholarships. In the programme’s second phase, around 6,000 scholarships were provided to streamline the learning process for those participating. Currently, the programme received over 6,000 applications and around 2,000 acceptances so far.
According to Misk, graduates progress by 65% in their career once they complete the programme, which follows Misk’s academic method that includes training the participants at first, and then empowering them to compete in international job markets.
