Saudi EdTech AILA Raises $3 Million Pre-Series A Round
The Saudi education technology company plans to expand its AI-powered personalised learning platform across regional and international markets.
Saudi education technology company AILA has raised $3 million in a Pre-Series A round led by Rua Growth Fund, with participation from Jo Academy, 500 Global, Bunat VC and Fikr Ventures. Jo Academy also joined the round as a strategic investor.
AILA develops AI-powered tools designed to adapt learning and assessment to individual students. Its platform identifies learning gaps, personalises practice based on student progress and provides teachers and school leaders with performance insights that can guide further support.
Its products include AILA Tests, an AI-native exam preparation and assessment platform for schools, and AILA Labs, the company’s research and development arm focused on developing and testing new applications of artificial intelligence in education.
The funding will be used to expand AILA into regional and international markets, further develop its AI-powered learning capabilities and reach more students, educators, schools and education systems.
“This investment lets us bring personalised, AI-native learning to more students at a moment when education systems across the region are rethinking what's possible with technology,” said AILA CEO Yousef Alsayed.
The company has placed particular emphasis on developing learning experiences for Arabic-speaking students rather than adapting products originally built for other languages. Its investors are also expected to support expansion through their education-sector networks and experience in regional markets.
