UAE-Based Cryptocurrency Exchange Emirex Raises Investment from US Fund Alpha Sigma Capital
The deal also includes a new addition to the Emirex advisory board.
Dubai-based cryptocurrency exchange, Emirex, is set to develop its infrastructure following the news that it has raised an undisclosed amount from American blockchain fund, Alpha Sigma Capital.
As part of the deal, CEO of Alpha Sigma Capital, Enxo Villani, will join Emirex's advisory board and bring a wealth of experience gained at Alpha Sigma and his work as a strategist from traditional exchanges such as Nasdaw and OKEx.
“Alpha Sigma Capital’s partnership with Emirex comes at a key time for the company,” Emirex chief Security officer, Kirill Mishanin, said Emirex has entered a new strategic growth phase of bringing VCs, angel investors, and strategic partners to the Middle East and North Africa (Mena) market that requires leadership with extensive blockchain development experience,” said Kirill Mishanin, chief security officer at Emirex.
Emirex currently boasts 100,000 users and 30,000 active traders from across the globe, as well 50 listed trading partners.
