Egyptian Online Learning Platform Zedny Launches with Over 200 Courses in Arabic
The new educational platform aims to address industry changes before Arab professionals fall behind.
Ushering in a new wave of Arabic learning, holistic education platform Zedny has officially launched.. The new development platform will house over 5,000 hours of learning content, including over 200 online courses and 4000 animated video summaries of global business bestsellers.
Available across the entire Arab world to both employers and individuals, the online platform aims to develop business skills, soft skills, office tools, and increase employability of professionals across the region. “Studies have shown that actively engaged workforces deliver 2.6 times the earnings-per-share growth of their unengaged counterparts, and comprehensive training programs lead to a 218% higher revenue per employee,” Founder and CEO of Zedny Mohamed Youssef El Baz explains. “Hence, it is essential that businesses start exploring modern learning and development solutions in order to engage their workforce, as well as develop their employees.”
“Zedny provides the content in Arabic as it is the language that most employees in Egypt speak and think with,” adds co-founder and CCO Basil Khattab. “Currently, besides Zedny, there is no localised, Arabic cross-skill learning and development platform that has it all.”
As every industry is steadily moving towards increased automation, a reskilling revolution is expected within the next three to five years; something that Zedny aims to address before it’s too late for young professionals. The World Economic Forum estimates about one-third of core job skills required in industries will undergo a shift in the near future, meaning that investing in and strengthening Arab human capital is at the forefront of company growth and a gratifying career for professionals.
The training programmes are year-long and cost just a fraction of the cost of a traditional course. Meanwhile, Zedny employs artificial intelligence integrations that learners and employers alike can use to evaluate their development.
