Techne Drifts to Take Entrepreneurs On a Nile Cruise in April
Starting from Tanta and ending at Aswan, entrepreneurs will be pitching and exhibiting their business ideas along the blue River Nile.
Techne is back with its water drifts, but this time the platform, which gathers techie entrepreneurs across the Mediterranean, promises to give entrepreneurs a special Nile cruise experience, passing by eight governorates. Beginning on April 14th, Techne Drifts will start off from the Delta and end in Upper Egypt by April 29th, passing through the Delta cities of Tanta, Mansoura, Port Said, Suez, followed by the Upper Egyptian cities of Assiut, Sohag, Luxor and finally Aswan.
The Delta and Canal Drifts will be in a roadshow format held at different universities in each city, while the Upper Egypt Drifts will witness the launch of the Nile cruise, gathering startups, speakers, investors and mentors on one deck. Events in each city will be open to the public and free of charge to attend in each. According to Techne's website, this year’s agenda is not one-size-fits-all; it has been designed to cater to different customer segments within each governorate’s target audience.
Last year, Techne Drifts launched promotional campaigns in eight governorates with 46 speakers empowering more than 1650 entrepreneurs. In late September 2017, in collaboration with the UAE-born ride-hailing app, Careem, Techne Drifts also took entrepreneurs to the Mediterranean Sea for a 'Pitch and Sail' competition, just before arriving at Alexandria's harbour to attend the Techne Summit at Bibliotheca Alexandrina on September 30th.
