Thndr: The Mobile Platform Simplifying the Art of Investing

We go behind the scenes of the innovative Egyptian app with co-founders Seif Amr and Ahmed Hammouda.

If we were to believe Hollywood, then investment in stocks and bonds is a field reserved exclusively for charismatic crooks and leisurely businessmen of a higher mental capacity. The truth is, investing isn’t that complicated – something that Egyptian startup, Thndr, is on a mission to prove.

Founded by Seif Amr and former General Manager of Uber Egypt, Ahmed Hammouda, Thndr is a fully-licensed, everything-you-need mobile platform that not only allows you to easily make investments, but one that also equips users with the tools and knowledge to do so efficiently and, ultimately, successfully.

An easy-to-use initiator for the uninitiated, the platform is taking every step to break down barriers to a field that is defined by the very outdated notions and systems that Thndr seeks to address – it even offers a simulator for users to play virtual bigshots and hone their nous.

We sat down with the unlikely duo to find out more about one of the most unique innovations in Egypt’s fintech sector.
