As part of the merger, eMushrif will expand their unique smart transport operations to Kuwait.
Oman-based Internet-of-Things (IoT) and transportation startup has acquired Kuwait’s smart public transportation app, My Route. The merger will allow My Route to be the operational arm for eMushrif’s innovative transportation solution in Kuwait.
EMushrif brings together intelligent software and sophisticated hardware to help schools and parents digitise the bus-riding experience for their children by turning ordinary school buses into smart buses, and helping to ensure children safety. “I am very excited about becoming a part of eMushrif and working with Adnan and the brilliant team in Muscat,” says Hasan Akbar, founder of My Route. “Especially because of their vision of making school transportation safe and smart in the region to tackle a lot of problems in our school buses. Together, we will take bus transportation safety to the next level and ensure high level of safety and efficiency."
Founded in 2019 by Hasan Akbar, My Route is an internet-enabled public transportation live tracking application that allows users to track and book buses and make their journey more efficient. Akbar will join eMushrif as the result of the acquisition and manage eMushrif’s Kuwait office.
“We are very excited about this expansion leap in Kuwait and potentially other GCC and MENA markets. The acquisition, and working with Hasan, is well-aligned within our mission to make sure that our children are safe in school buses. We will also provide commuting management system for corporate using the same technology as we already conducted a few projects locally,” says Adnan Alshuaili, eMushrif’s CEO.
