Two Egyptian Digital Media Agencies Won Dubai Lynx’s Independent Agency of 2019
Kijamii came first, Good People second, and Beattie + Dane third.
Dubai Lynx’s winners were announced last night, to include Kijamii and Good People which came first and second place respectively for the title “Independent Agency of 2019.” Beattie and Dane from Kuwait City came in third.
It is safe to say that the “Independent Agency of 2019,” Kijamii, has been making waves since its launch in May 2011. With regional offices in Saudi and UAE, the digital media agency has executed groundbreaking campaigns for a clients’ portfolio as diverse as to include Vodafone, Durex and even German football club, FC Bayern Munich.
Based in both Beirut and Cairo, Good People is divided into two sub-companies; Good People Films and Good People Content. Each branch acts as an individual entity that sometimes groups up with the other. Good People Films production house has been around for two years and the other branch, which is the content agency, started in October 2017 and have already attracted global clientele such as Orange, Vodafone, Danone, and Rexona.
Meanwhile, Kuwait City’s Beattie and Dane argues that it is not an agency; rather “a creative firm that partners with brands to solve business problems through creative solutions.” In its first 12 months, Beattie and Dane won Gold and Silver awards at Dubai Lynx, (also) came third in 2017’s version of Dubai Lynx’s “Independent Agency of the Year” and picked up a Bronze Lion at Cannes. This marked the first time that an indie Kuwaiti agency got recognised at Dubai Lynx and the first time Kuwait got recognised at Cannes.
For more than 10 years, the Dubai Lynx Awards have celebrated the best work in the MENA region. They “recognise, nurture and set the standard for brilliant creative,” as their website describes.
