The new TV show will connect contestants with a panel of seasoned investors while showcasing the calibre of business in Bahrain.
Bahrain-based Hope Ventures, the investment wing of the Hope Fund, is launching a first-of-its-kind Bahraini entrepreneurial television show named ‘Biban’, which hopes to provide opportunities for local entrepreneurs to pitch and showcase investment opportunities before a panel of local and regional investors.
A reality-TV show, it will also serve as a platform for 12 participants with promising businesses to connect with investors and networks, while the show hopes to exhibit the strength and calibre of business potential in Bahrain.
Investment decisions will be made in real-time on the show, while the investment approach will be made transparent for viewers, who can also watch the seasoned panel of investors demonstrate their industry knowledge.
Fajer AlPachachi, General Manager of Hope Ventures explained that “we want to highlight and celebrate the tenacious spirit of Bahraini entrepreneurs, many of whom have been working very hard for a chance to present their ideas to an esteemed panel of business experts.”
Meanwhile, Aymen bin Tawfeeq Almoayed, the Chairman of Hope Fund said “Biban will also bring a unique experience to viewers across the region as they get a front-row seat to discussions and negotiations that typically take place behind closed doors.”
Selected finalists will be supported in preparation for the show through a 3-day executive bootcamp provided by Flat6labs, the region’s leading seed and early stage venture capital firm, before episodes are filmed.
