Saudi-Based ‘Homathon’ Offers $85,000 Prize Pool for COVID-19 Solutions
The hackathon will also feature a full week of online sessions from international experts.

If you’re a MENA-based team of 2-5 people with an idea for COVID-19 solutions in the fields of health, remote work, entertainment, commerce, eGovernment, fintech, logistics or edutech, you can now apply for Homathon, a new #StayAtHome online hackathon, to be held from April 19th to the 25th.
Organised by the Saudi Federation for Cybersecurity, Programming and Drones, in partnership with the Saudi Data & AI Authority, STC, Oracle, Microsoft, and StartupGrind, Homathon blends the intense learning curves of hackathons with the exposure of the region’s biggest entrepreneurial meet-ups.
In addition to the chance of winning up to $50,000 in cash for first place (and $25,000 and $15,000 for second and third place, respectively), Homathon is offering a full agenda with over 100 speakers and mentors. Sessions such as ‘Being Accelerator Ready’ and ‘Introduction to AI in Business’ will be held by international experts, as well as deep dives into Microsoft Azure and Oracle Cloud courtesy of the hackathon’s managing partners.
