Banque du Caire Nears IPO at $1.5 Billion Valuation
The bank is preparing to offer 30% to 40% of its shares on the Egyptian Exchange, with its valuation now estimated at around LE 80 billion.
Banque du Caire is moving closer to a potential listing on the Egyptian Exchange, with an initial public offering expected in the final quarter of 2026.
Preparations are reportedly underway to offer between 30% and 40% of the bank, with a promotional campaign planned for September and October ahead of the prospective listing.
The bank was valued at around LE 78 billion at the end of 2025, while current expectations place its valuation between approximately LE 80 billion and LE 80.5 billion, equivalent to around $1.56 billion to $1.57 billion.
The valuation review is still being finalised, alongside the size of the offering and the participation of prospective institutional investors. International development institutions have also reportedly shown interest in the potential IPO.
A successful listing would add another major financial institution to the EGX and advance one of the market’s more closely watched public-offering plans.
