Zeroe, a UAE-based AI-enabled enterprise SaaS platform focused on cleantech, has concluded its series seed funding round, raising $2.2 million in an oversubscribed effort to support its next phase of growth. The funding round was led by Indonesian investor Owen Rahadiyan, offering strategic access to Southeast Asian growth markets.
Founded in early 2023 by Farouk Jivani and Ali Najafian, Zeroe aims to facilitate decarbonization and the shift towards net-zero emissions. The company's core offering is an AI-powered carbon management platform that enables enterprises to measure emissions comprehensively, report on decarbonization performance, and align with sustainable finance frameworks.
"The urgency to act on climate change has never been greater, and it will exponentially increase in the coming years,” Farouk Jivani, Founder and CEO of Zeroe, tells StartupScene. “This investment is a testament to our commitment to driving tangible change. We're here to accelerate the enterprise decarbonization journey and unlock climate finance to fund the transition."
Zeroe's SaaS platform is designed to address the increasing pressure on organizations to measure and reduce their carbon footprint. As regulators, customers, and capital providers intensify their focus on environmental considerations, Zeroe provides the necessary tools and insights for enterprises to navigate this landscape. The platform not only assists in achieving sustainability goals but also facilitates alignment with sustainable finance frameworks, a crucial element for securing capital essential to the transition towards net zero.
The startup has gained recognition and support through its participation in initiatives such as DIFC's Fintech Accelerator for 2023, its endorsement of Abu Dhabi Global Market's Sustainable Finance Declaration, and its role as a founding member of the Carbon Accounting Alliance.
