Egypt's Sinai.ai Raises $1.45M to Build AI-Native Reading Platform
The Cairo-based startup is developing adaptive AI-powered book formats.
Sinai.ai, a Cairo-founded AI-native books platform, has raised $1.45 million in a pre-seed round led by KAUST Innovation Ventures and DisrupTech Ventures.
The round also included participation from Maza Ventures, YOUXEL Ventures and a group of angel investors.
Founded in 2021, Sinai.ai converts licensed books into what it describes as “aiBooks”, combining text, audio, translation and interactive features within a single format. The platform adapts content based on a reader’s language, context and learning preferences.
The company operates on a licensed model, working directly with publishers to distribute content and create new monetisation channels within an AI-driven framework.
The founding team includes Ahmed Kamel, Mohamed Elshenawy, Abdullah Moatasem, Hana Malhas and Mohamed Elshamy.
Sinai.ai positions itself at the intersection of publishing, education technology and artificial intelligence, with a focus on developing adaptive, legally licensed digital reading experiences.
